医師・科学者が「xxxxx stem cell」ではなく「stem cell」を連呼している場合、そこに科学は無く、その本人自体が良く理解していないことが明確です。なぜなら細胞の種類を特定しない「stem cell」は、概念でしかないからです。日本の大学のプレスリリース、そしてそれを丸写しした新聞記事にも良く、ただの「幹細胞」の3文字が踊っていますが・・・

年末恒例(2008, 2009, 2010)、論文の被引用回数をまとめてみた。被引用回数は、自分の仕事がscience communityにどれだけ影響を与えたかを定量化する一つの指標で、Thomson Reuter社のScience Citation Index Expandedというデータベースで知ることが出来る（要ライセンス：大学の図書館経由でアクセス可）。願わくば息永く引用してもらえるプロジェクトを目指したいところ。
